Kwame was chosen to work on the Emporio Armani commercial shoot due to his background in contemporary dance & movement. The commercial for the He/She fragrance range was about two people who were brought together by the strength of the fragrance. The director’s vision was that the two models could feel each other through the sense of smell, heightened by the fact that they could not see one another. Kwame had to direct & choreograph the models’ movement to use their bodies to illustrate this visually. Kwame had a number of rehearsal workshops with the models to get them moving in a sensual manner all the while being spatially aware of one another. The result is movement being the catalyst for the commercial.
